Certifications are a great way to validate your XR development or design expertise with industry standards. We provide digital badges to showcase, verify and recognize the skills you’ve earned, to enhance your professional visibility and grow opportunities for you.
No, Unity experience is not required, the course is designed to bring you up to speed quickly on Unity and the tools you need to begin creating VR and AR applications. However, the portion of the class that covers the basics of Unity is very fast-paced. If you feel you may need more time to familiarize yourself with Unity we recommend starting with our XR Foundations: Developer course which will familiarize you with Unity over 4-weeks and prepare you for more advanced topics we focus on in this XR course.
No, in the course we are device agnostic and often develop cross-platform using OpenVR and AR Foundation. We specialize in your device in one-on-one sessions, but it is not required to have any VR or AR device to get started.
While you do not need C# experience specifically, you will need experience with at least one modern programming language (such as Javascript, C#, C++, or Python, etc.) so that you are not overwhelmed learning about programming concepts at the same time as learning Unity, C#, and XR development concepts, etc.
However, if you do not have programming experience, we do have a place for you to start, the XR Foundations Developer 4-week course. Completing this course will qualify you for entry to the main 12-week developer program. A great option for those looking to go from Zero to Hero : )
